M2 MacBook Air The MacBook for the rest of us
The best selling MacBook of NEXT year!

HomePod mini colours release date, iMac and MacBook Air M2 - the MacBook for the rest of us.

So yes, according to Sam Kohl and now Mark Gurman, the coloured HomePod mini will be with us and available to order from this week. We don’t seem to have a specific day, but regardless, they should be available to order very soon.

The new HomePod mini is materially identical to the fist version of these. There are no new features, it s simply new colours
Although Apple had also recently added lossless audio support and of course, features like Intercom which allows you to call other rooms could benefit from these new colours to fit into more spaces.

Next, we did a weekend video on the new iMac Big on Saturday which I’ll link to at the end of the video - Headlines though, Apple’s killed the last of the 21.5” iMacs in the store which had the $999 price and we had a bunch of leaks for the new iMac from DylanDKT, including 1080p cameras, proMotion displays, MiniLED, AND the addition of the same ports from the new MacBook Pros - HDMI and SD Card readers. I was so excited that I had to make a Saturday video so go check that out - link at the end of the video.

But today’s main topic is what is most likely the best selling Mac of NEXT year. The MacBook Air M2 - and if you’re excited for it, then you should subscribe to the channel as Tim Cook is basing how quickly this can be released on how many subs this video gets. Just saying.

But yes, the MacBook Air - re-designed, re-loaded with a faster processor and what is likely WAY faster graphics. What do we know? Well, just like anyone else before things come out, we KNOW nothing. But based on the probable information that has come out and the reliability of the sources, it looks like we’ll be getting a flatter, less wedge shaped design. With the MacBook Air also being essentially the entry level, welcome aboard device that brings way more Mac buyers than anything else into the ecosystem, everything here feels like the right decisions.

The display is said to have the same MiniLED panel as the main iMac and MacBooks Pro, giving deep inky blacks just like OLED but without the risks of burn in or the usual OLED issues that are WAY worse on laptop or desktop screens which tend to have static elements far more of the time, like the dock or just stuff on your wallpaper.

There will. Of course be no Touch Bar with Apple adding height to the function row keys, the new style Touch ID button with the round indentation and the notch at the top to house the camera, thinning out those bezels.
