This tastes so much better than it looks. It is easy to prepare and the grill does all the work.
make a marinade of spices you enjoy, simmer the sliced tofu and let it st for an hour or overnoght and add it to the grill over medium heat for 9 or ten minutes. the texture is chewy and even crispy in parts and the rosemary gives a wonderful flavor. You don't have to use beef bouillon but if you do I have not found any better than the one I used. it is in my Amazon store.

I am not a survivalist, but I do believe in prepping, in having supplies and a plan for temporary outages of power and water and food for as long as 6 months and hopefully 12 months as time goes by. I just think there are too many variables to plan for much longer based on my personal circumstances, location and abilities.
It can be beneficial to learn what other preppers are doing to benefit from their experience.
The most important assets to survive a situation will not be things we can buy but will be who we are individually and as a group. our physical, mental and spiritual health and our relationships will be the most important things and by focusing on them we can enrich our present lives regardless of any future survival situations.
For the things I have bought or still want to buy to help survive many of them were purchased on Amazon. You can go to my store on Amazon and see the links there and if you then buy anything on Amazon in 24 hours they pay me a few cents. It helps a lot.

The best way to stop smoking is the way that works best for you, no method is the right one for everybody. The more ways you know about that have worked for other smokers to quit smoking the more weapons you have to fight your addiction to smoking. This video is the story of how I quit smoking a pack and a half of Kool menthol cigarettes every day many years ago.
Here are some smoking cessation resources you may find useful.

I bought a Hohem iSteady mobile 3 axis gimbal to use with my old Android Galaxy S5 phone. This video shows my very first use of the gimbal. I have a splitter attached to the side of my phone that I use to insert an external lavaliere microphone. The weight of this microphone and splitter may unbalance the phone a little. I was happy with the motion I got from the gimbal but it was a little jittery at times and I wonder if the mic was not causing some of it. I also think I can probably walk more smoothly and get better results. This was my first attempt and I am sure I will get better results as I use it more.
My phone is old so I could not use the zoom function offered by the gimbal and for some reason, I could not take a photo using the gimbal control, but I did use the other functions. Even if I do not improve the stability of my phone with the gimbal through more practice the end result is so much better than using the phone without a stabilizer. Walking while taking video with my old phone makes for unbearable to watch video.
As for my audio experiment, I took the phone outside in fairly strong winds in the hallways of the building where the wind was being funneled. Using a sock over the mic in my glasses case in my shirt pocket did provide additional relief from the wind gusts but I could still hear a little wind. Actually, the little foam cover does a decent job of keeping the wind out of the mic. I think I would have gotten close to similar results with the mic in my pocket glass case without the sock. If there was a way to keep the mic from moving around in a pocket it would be just as easy to get rid of the glass case and not use it at all. Away from the wind, the mic in my pocket recorded my talking very well.
With some more practice, I think I can take decent stable videos using the gimbal. The Hohem gimbal was very hard to set up and link to the Bluetooth as it would not sync repeatedly, and I am still not able to use all of the features the gimbal offers but there are dozens of videos on YouTube providing hints on how to get the most out of the stabilizer.
I bought a cardioid shotgun mic to use with my phone called the Movo and was going to review it too but for some reason, it will not work using my splitter even though my lavalier mic works fine with it. If anybody knows why that might be let me know.
Finally, I was just being goofy with the music while filming my old Corolla.

These are 10 of my most favorite videos I have made in the last 10 years.
As of today, I now have 666 videos on YouTube. Who woulda thunk it?
I would have had more but I accidentally erased all of my videos after the first two years
After reviewing all of my work from the last ten years it was clear I was not really interested in getting a lot of views or I would have focused more
on the type of videos that have been consistently getting more views and less time on the videos that fewer people watched.
For example, I seem to have received a consistently large amount of views for my balcony gardening videos and my product review videos,
but very few views for my cooking or humor videos and almost no views for my story videos which take the longest to make.
Of the former and latter, guess which videos I have been focusing on?
I have decided I am not going to make more than 1000 videos.
That would mean I have around 5 years of making Youtube videos left at the current rate so I may want to start slowing down.
I have also decided to stop making videos YouTube will demonetize, except for my musical cooking videos.
I have repeatedly had YouTube demonetize my health videos in which I provided information on how I was treating my health problems successfully.
I find this very annoying.
I want to thank all of my viewers who have watched me over the years and commented and contributed and encourage all of you to make and share your knowledge.
Let me know if I can ever be of any help if you decide to make a video.
Have fun and see ya out there.

My bathtub drain is old and the tub was beginning to get minor rust around the edges. I did not feel comfortable trying to twist out the old drain and installing a new one myself and I would still have to deal with rust. since the rust is minor I treated the rust with multiple applications of Rustoleum Rust Reformer. Eventually, I used a small wire wheel brush and a cordless drill to remove the surface rust and applied the Rustoleum again. I let the Rust Reformer sit for two and a half days and then applied a coat of Sheffield Porcelain touch-up paint. after the paint dried for 12 hours, I put on a second coat. there is a few small spots in the tub that were treated with Sheffield paint over 2 years ago and the paint has held up fine and no rust occurred.
Once the final coat was dry I added a Quicktrim Strainer body in chrome. I bought the Strainer from Eagle Mountain for about $8 plus $5 shipping but I found a similar one at Lowes. The part number is in the video.
I found the cheapest price for the Sheffield paint at the True Value hardware store.
I bought the Rustoleum reformer on Amazon.

Ace 250 on Amazon https://amzn.to/2WloTvq
I have added a lot of Beach and underwater metal detecting videos to a playlist on my channel. You can see them here at
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL956E9211C7840F23
I included Uncle john and crack badger and other YouTubers that are sharing their knowledge with the rest of us.
I know I have left out some great YouTubers, if you guys see someone that should be in the water and beach metal detecting playlist I will be happy to add them if they are making good videos and sharing them on youtube.
If your sand is very mineralized you will probably not get good results, and also, when you touch the sand with the Ace 250 you will get a lot of false positives but they are easy to verify. I don't think the Ace goes very deep in the wet sand so you will need to keep it as close as you can without touching.
I want to emphasize, I do not think the Ace 250 is as good as a water hunter as those detectors made for water like the Minelab and others, even the Garrett AT Pro, I am just trying to let people know they may only need to spend 200 bucks to go hunt in saltwater at the beach and have a blast until they can afford something better..
I added some of my Florida treasure hunting videos to the playlist also.
I made the Ace 250 waterproof and here is the link to that video

I also sell a pretty cool treasure hunting data DVD on eBay, you can search for it under the following title in my eBay store:

This is a quick update on my balcony garden experiments
My grow bag made from a bag the dirt comes in worked out very well. the dirt is wicking the water very well from the trough on the bottom and the tomato plants are growing, however , I only get an hour of sunlight the morning so I will be happy if anything grows well at all.
I made a super quick and cheap pvc trellis and used the string method to stake the tomatoes.
My grow bags I made from landscape cloth worked well also but the lettuce and spinach did terrible as there is not enough sun and they were spindly like seed sprouts.
My parsley is growing slow but has grown well before and should be ok . My big surprise was how well the sweet potatoes grow with so little sun. I have been experimenting with the leaves and found several different ways to cook them that are very enjoyable, I will do a sweet potato leaf recipe video later. I also think if the tomatoes do not turn out well I will be replanting all the grow bags with sweet potatoes. I am also planting some ginger as I know from experience they will grow in reduced sunlight.
I may also try some cabbage or any other vegetabes that do not need a lot of full sun.
One funny and unexpected thing that happened was even though I am screened in and up several floors, and do not have to worry about most bugs or moose and squirrels, the other day the building was pressure washed and the water had chemicals as they damaged my leaves, and a week later maintenance who has tried to remove a hive of bees above my apartment for months came back and I think they finally sprayed it and may have gotten poison on my plants. so no matter where you are, there is something to mess with your plants.
I want to say how much I am enjoying seeing other people putting their garden videos on YT.
my balcony plants are really more of an experiment than a real garden. I know there are master gardeners on YT whose bags of fertilizer take up more space than I have for plants. but a lot of people may be in the same boat I am and have a small balcony with poor lighting, so I thought it would be fun to see what I could grow. thanks everybody like imstillworkin and mhpgardener and larry hall and mugsyeff and so many others for their inspiration and sharing of their yt videos.
I will post again if the tomatoes come in and definitely post a sweet potato leaf recipe video. I enjoyed making this video for you guys and remember I add more videos every week
