A Five Minute - Bangkok Temple Tour takes you to Wat Pathum Wanaram.
Wat Pathum Wanaram Ratcha Wora Viharn is a Buddhist temple located in the Pathum Wan District in Bangkok, and virtually sandwiched between two well-known shopping malls, Siam Paragon and CentralWorld.
Address:
Wat Pathum Wanaram Ratcha Wora Viharn
969 Rama I Road
Khwaeng Pathum Wan, Pathum Wan District
Bangkok 10330
The temple was founded in 1857 by King Mongkut (Rama IV) as a place of worship near his Sa Pathum Palace. At the time of its founding the area was still only rice fields, only accessible via the Khlong Saen Saeb. The temple is a third class royal temple of the Thammayut Nikaya order.
Among the various buildings of the temple is a sala partially reconstructed from the crematorium of the late Princess Mother of Thailand. The crematorium was a rare example of ancient craftsmanship featuring ornate stencils and lacquered sculptures, it represents Mount Meru, the heavenly abode of the gods.

Not quite what you think :)
I've never owned a bike with fenders, until now, and I really appreciate the fact that my Brompton has front & rear fenders, it helps me keep dry & clean. However fenders or no fenders, torrential rain is guaranteed to soak you throughout, nothing is free from getting wet.
This is a video of one such ride home where I was drenched to the soul, but the Brompton still gave me a smile on my face no matter rain or shine.

Weekend bike cleaning day, I also decided to move the Sony FDR X3000 camera mount from the handlebars to the shock absorber, thought it was a good idea to have my handlebar clean of clutter.
I later took a short bike ride to the bike shop to by some inner tubes, and also to check the video footage for the new camera location.
My conclusion is that the lower camera mount makes the movie feel like something you would find in a 4D movie, good for short action clips, but not normal use. I put the camera back on the handlebar after watching the video.

I have a large variety of birds in my garden, my son made a birdhouse where they can nest, however, we haven't been successful in finding an occupant yet. I decided to place some bread in to perhaps tease them to check out a possible new abode, but ended up with a noisy little squirrel instead.
This particular breed is a Finlayson's squirrel or the variable squirrel, a species of rodent in the family Sciuridae. It is found in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. The species occurs in a wide range of wooded habitats, including gardens and parks in cities like Bangkok.

Wat Benchamabophit was designed by Prince Naris, a half-brother of the King Rama V. Constructed in 1899 of Italian marble, with carrara marble pillars, a marble courtyard, and two large lions guarding the entrance. The interiors are decorated with cross beams of lacquer and gold, and in shallow niches in the walls of paintings of important stupas all over the country.
