U.S. Marines with Amphibious Vehicle Test Branch, Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity, work with the amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25) to assess and verify the Amphibious Combat Vehicle's ability to integrate with naval shipping as part of the vehicle’s developmental testing off the shore of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Jan. 28, 2020. The Marines of AVTB are currently testing the Marine Corps’ newest amphibious vehicle, which will replace the Amphibious Assault Vehicle. HONOLULU, Hawaii (March 26, 2021) An overdue boater is rescued by a U.S. Navy MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the "EasyRiders" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 37 in the waters off Oahu. CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa, Japan (March 28, 2018) Chief Hospital Corpsman Ophael Myrtil tells the story of immigrating to the United States from his native country of Haiti. . As an infant, Myrtil lost 24 family members when the bus carrying them suffered a fatal accident. Rattled by the sudden loss, Myrtil’s father moved him and his sister to the United States when he was six.
