Aquaventura Preview (aka 'Press Demo') by Psygnosis (Amiga OCS, 1988)
"This game had been under development for almost half a decade. Copies of a demo version of Aquaventura with the first two levels were available sometime in 1989. Though it had a lot of bugs, it featured the usual high quality graphics from Psygnosis with an animated end sequence as well as some music from David Whittaker. That version of Aquaventura was one of the first games to use the "vector ball" technique even before it was ever used in any kind of Amiga "scene" demo. Unfortunately the game released in 1992 looked (and sounded) completely different than the appealing demo version released years before..."
The following is a collection of video files from a former website
of Fumito Ueda. These videos were found by a fan and stored
for several years. They are shown here for historical purpose, preceded by the widely spread video created by Fumito Ueda as a concept of ICO. The connexions between the lost files and this video are clearly visible.
Alike the concept video of ICO, the lost files were rendered in Lightwave 3D. Fumito Ueda is known for being an Amiga enthousiast, back in the days, hence the use of Lightwave 3D. The VFX shown in the lost file demonstrate an extensive use of the famous LW features, such as Skytracer and Hypervoxels. The metadata of each file are shown when available, incl. the date of creation.
