Here is how I make grilled bean cakes for very little money. I soak 1 cup of beans overnight and then in the morning I cook the beans in my little Hawkins pressure cooker at low heat for 12 minutes after it begins hissing on high heat. I add enough water to cover the beans by an inch. I add parsley flakes and a spoon full of Italian dressing to the water and a little turmeric and pepper. After the beans are done I drain them and add them to a bowl and add the following ingredients. 1 onion 3 carrots 2 ribs of celery 1 cup of oats 3/4 cup of cornmeal peas 1 egg parsley flakes 2 tablespoons of Orrington farms Chicken Bouillon 2 tablespoons of oil pepper flakes black pepper salad olives To adjust the liquid content of the mix I add some of the bean juice saved from the cooking of the beans. About a half a cup does it for me. I cook the cakes on medium high heat for 15-20 minutes. My favorite way to eat them is cold in a taco shell with lettuce and cheese or put them in a toaster oven topped with tomato sauce and cheese or just cold alone as a snack. If you are having a cash flow problem I recommend you learn how to make these bean cakes and you get a little pressure cooker to cook your low-cost beans. This is a wonderful recipe as nearly all of the ingredients are very low in cost. I buy my cans of beans from the LDS Mormons online and the #10 cans of beans will last for 30 years. You just need to add a few vegetables and oats and cornmeal to make a very tasty and protein-filled nutritious item to add to your diet. The recipe is very flexible, you can easily add a lot of greens or other root vegetables if they were more available. It is good to know if times get tough you have a food staple like bean cakes ready to sustain you. I have stocked up on taco shells and will be making these a lot more often. Today I review $1 Beef patties from the Dollar Tree dollar store made by Chef's requested brand. Last week I bought a dozen or so items from the frozen food section of the Dollar Tree store and have been preparing and reviewing them for you guys. You know you always wondered about some of this food so I am trying it out for you. I think this particular brand of beef patties would be wonderful, ideal actually if you were trying to get someone to leave and never come back to your house again. These beef patties have so many uses. I can imagine if you ever needed to stop a train you could put the beef patties on a train track and the wheels of the train would spin in the grease and not be able to advance. or, imagine you were in a fearful storm at sea, by just cooking these patties up and throwing the oil into the water you could keep the waves from breaking and overwhelming your vessel. These patties are mighty and powerful and full of potential non gastronomical possibilities. Just do not eat them yourself. No. Do not do that. PLEASE! The sleep timer on the low-cost Retekess V115 MP3 Am FM Shortwave radio player works great. If you want better sleep, fall asleep listening to relaxing music. I set the timer to 40 minutes right before bed and drift off listening to relaxing music I have trained my self to recognize it is time to relax and sleep when I hear it.
