In this scenario, the man in the simulator has a bomb strapped to his waist with a detonator in his hand. Around him are several hostages and us, as the officers, have to confront him. The man with the bomb lets go of the detonator for a second and results in... Well... You saw. A few months ago, a couple coworkers and myself decided to go to Gander Mountain to test out the Pro V Sim 300 degree training simulator. While the simulator is very basic in nature, it does keep you on alert. It doesn't actually work via voice commands but we were just practicing as real as we could. For the most part we only used the Law Enforcement simulators and stayed away from the military ones. The gun we used was the Glock 17, 9x19mm, with the co2 training conversion. The gun had a replaced slide, barrel, and magazine. The replaced with magazine has no opening for real ammunition and uses a replaceable co2 cartridge commonly found in air soft and BB guns. So here's is one of a few of my recorded clips in the simulator. It's a great experience and was a ton of fun.
