Fascinating and simple repair to the power leads of my TS-2000 mobile installation. With a fully grounded radio, I got this working on only ONE power cable - the positive power lead! See what you think. Callum. M0MCX.

Part 2 of my slightly crazy /P amplifier setup using an AGM battery and a 600W amplifier. By the way, in testing, I'm holding more than 12V on full legal limit for extended periods of time - dropping below 12V was a worry I had - but I've bought another battery anyway. I shall re-make this loom with some 200A glass fuses - but as an interim prototype, it'll do for a couple more weeks. Watch out for Part 3. Callum.

In this discussion, I deal with Impedance matching with Coax Stubs for mono-band antennas. The difference between a 4:1 balun and a dedicated 75 ohm, quarter wave stub (less velocity factor).

So we made a mailts filter from 2 x Type 31 Fair-Rite 0431177081 and added a 20Amp 230V line to power my whole shack. Whilst we were at it, we added 18 x 230V sockets to power the darned thing! CHeers, Callum, M0MCX.
PS - Want this Ferrite? Just Google "Type 31 0431177081"
PPS - Lots of videos on YouTube about this subject.. Just search "ferrite core mains cable"

Fan dipoles are fun - but this is a compact version using a linear loaded style 80m dipole and 40m legs too. Performs fine but the tuning was a nightmare! LOL Have fun, take some inspiration and try it yourself! Callum. M0MCX. DX Commander.
