Pandemic. War. Famine. It is a standard scenario that is happening again in our world. And it has happened more than once. Once again we hear on television that there is famine threatening the world. And the reasons we are told, are - either a pandemic or a conflict in a particular country. But do they tell us the REAL situation? After all, such organizations as FAO, the United Nations in their annual reports name very different causes of hunger, not the ones we see today. Here are some facts. The FAO says in its 2021 report that there are 4 major factors that contribute to the deterioration of food security in the world. These are: conflicts in different countries, which make the agricultural situation worse and impoverish the population of each country. These are climate disasters that have worsened almost fivefold over the past 10 years, according to reports. These are economic recessions and depressions that you and I feel all the time. It's clear why they create hunger, because people become poor. And there's another very interesting systemic reason, which is mentioned in the same reports. It is a critical level of inequality in the world. What does that mean? This means that there is a small number of very rich people, while the number of poor people is increasing. And it's understandable that poor people are the first to find themselves in a situation of hunger. Because all of their income goes just to buy food. So it turns out that what we are being told on television is not true. The pandemic, for example, simply adds to the already predetermined factors that systematically lead our world toward famine. And all of this is created by our consumerist format of society and the modern economy. It is structured in such a way that the main goals are exorbitant profits and capitalization. We cannot solve the problem of hunger in this format because the format itself creates it. But we can solve this problem by changing the format of society.
