With all the time we spend sitting at desks with poor posture and so much time with our arms stretched out in front of us, our chest muscle have become quite shortened.
This causes our shoulders to roll forward and our upper backs to round over. I'm going to share a simple stretch to restore some length to your chest muscles and make it easier to maintain good alignment.

Today I'm interviewing my friend Madhav Gramke, who is a practicing chiropractor. We have a great chat about how spine health is whole-body health. We cover the nervous system, connective tissue, digestion, and a whole bunch of other great subjects!
It was a real pleasure having Madhav on this video. He really knows his stuff. Aside from the practice he owns and operates, he also teaches anatomy at a local massage school, as well as a local anatomy lab. He's a wealth of information!. I hope you enjoy our chat!

What IS the difference between exercises and functional movements? A while ago I did a video on why I though pull-ups weren’t a functional movement and from comments I’ve received, I’m not sure I did the best job explaining my point. So I thought I’d take a broader approach and cover the question in general.
So in this video I’ll cover what I consider to be an exercise and what I consider a functional movement. And I’ll also talk about the differences between the two. Also remember, this is my opinion based on my years of experience, research, and training. No one has the final word on what a functional movement is or isn’t.
I’d love to hear your perspective in the comments below! Thanks for watching.

Normally my go-to herb to relax are chamomile or valerian. Recently though I have discovered passion flower. I have only been using it a short while but I have been very happy with the way it relaxes me mentally without making me feel tired.
Passion flower helps control the amount of information sent across neurons. Which is very handy if you have a stressed out, over active nervous system.
If you have experience with passion flower I’d love to hear about it!

Tight calves can cause major issues through the body and most of us have chronically tight calves. This pandiculation can really help restore natural length to your calves. It's easy to do and you can do it anywhere you have a wall for support. Give it a try and lemme know what you think!

Today is an Earth Runners sandals review. I've been wearing a pair of their Circadian Adventure sandals almost every day for about 5 months now and I'd like to share my thoughts. I've tried a few different pairs of this style of sandals from several different manufacturers and I have to say, I think Earth Runners are my favorite so far.
If you're looking for a pair of minimalist sandals these may be your best bet! Earth Runners have three different styles of sandal based on sole thickness with two different styles of laces. The Circadian Adventure sandals are the best option I've found so far. If you wanna check em out, click the link below!
