As the area slowly auto-scrolls, choose a copy ability and you’ll see flashing wheels along with fragile floors. Enter the door and use the elevator to battle Meta Knight’s army once more. Defeat the army and use another elevator to find the next door. Get the Maximum Tomato and battle Meta Knight. Grab the sword and Meta Knight will use all sorts of moves by swinging his own sword. He can sometimes summon shock waves and a towering cyclone to make dodging harder. After beating Meta Knight, the entire ship will be falling. You’ll be ejected somewhere on the road of the ship using a Wheelie to escape. As you try to escape, Meta Knight will return and throw some shocking debris as well as charge with his sword. The road ahead has Hissies and Stack-Ups. Be careful not to get sucked into the quicksand as you go. After a cactus section, enter the door. The inside of the building has pipes with Hissies all over. Pull the rocks on some pipes and keep going down the pipes to see which area has the key. If you find sand, dig through it and you’ll find the key. Take the key and open the locked door to the boss room. Use the rock to hit Spittle 3 times for the jewel so you can open the Mask Gate.

After defeating Ariana, there is a machine that is causing all the problems for the Lake of Rage. The only way to deactivate the machine is by defeating all the Electrode controlling it. Each Electrode is on Level 23. You can capture one to make it useful for your collection. After all of the Electrode are gone, Lance will give you an HM05 (Whirlpool) as a special thanks. Whirlpool prevents the target from escaping for 2-5 turns and can be used outside of battle to cross whirlpools on the water.
