Carbine congee shop (嘉賓粥舖) was just in left hand beside East Lake Theatre (東湖戲院), Pai Hao Tang medicinal herbal tea shop (『百好堂』涼茶舖) was their neighbor too. Siam medicinal herbal tea (涼茶) is in black colour, its taste is utmost terrible bitter, very difficult to drink a bite, even you compelled yourself to drink into your stomach, that bitter feeling still from your intestine back to the tongue! Cinema showed Hollywood films, they were East Stage Theatre (東舞臺), West Stage Theatre (西舞臺), Chalerm Buri Theatre (โรงภาพยนตร์ เฉลิมบุรี; 月宮戲院) and Odeon Theater (โรงภาพยนตร์ โอเดียน; 高亭戲院).
