Today I review the most expensive mic for iOS device: the Apogee MiC 96k. This mic is compatible with iOS and Mac, and there's also a version that work with windows. Overall it's a nice mic, but is it worth the $230 price tag?

Today I review the best budget interface I have tested up through today; the Behringer UMC22. I also provide a fix/solution to audio coming out of one speaker / headphone. If you’re on a tight budget and only need a single XLR input, I absolutely recommend this thing.

Today I review the brand new Aston Stealth, a Dynamic Mic with a Class A preamp built into it. On top of that, it has 4 different voicings for Male or Female voices, guitar, or a Dark mode to emulate a ribbon microphone. The microphone does suffer pretty badly from plosives and the built in capsule shock mount is not too effective at rejecting bumps of the microphone stand. All around it is very versatile and would be a great tool to have in a mic locker.
CORRECTION: Correction. At 4:46 I read the incorrect description for the capsule mounting system/internal shock mount. The correct description is: Aston Stealth includes a proprietary internal shock mount design with the capsule suspended in mid-air, completely isolated from the mic chassis, and supported at 3 points by Sorbothane polymer hemispheres.

Today I review the Shure PGA48, a budget dynamic mic under $50. This mic offers a very clear sound for a dynamic due to the large boost in presence and treble, which will help your voice stand out in mix. It does a terrible job at handling noise rejection, and it also isn’t the best at plosive rejection. For $34-$39 though, it is an amazing beginner option.

Today we’re looking at an entry level interface from M-Audio, the M-Track 2x2 C Series. This interface costs around $100, records up to 24-bit 192kHz, has relatively low latency, gain of +60 to +65 dB (guessing), mixing dial to mix between zero latency monitoring and computer playback, and amazing dials.

Today I review the Tonor Pro Vocal Dynamic Microphone. This is a very cheap, budget microphone that comes in under $20.00. This thing doesn’t have the best build quality, and it lacks in the lower frequencies and tends to be a bit overly bright. But it does have excellent off axis rejection, and does a decent job at handling noise.

Today I review a new USB mic from Austrian Audio; the MiCreator. This is a USB mic that also expands to allow you to add an additional input (instrument, second mic capusle, or lav mic kit). The sound is fairly balanced with a controlled low end a slightly more midfocused sound due to no significant cuts, and then a relatively smooth upper frequency range.

Today I review the Beyerdynamic TG V50. This is a handheld dynamic microphone that has a significant presence and treble boost. This is a more tame version of the V70D with less sparkle in the high end, a cardioid polar pattern, and a bit worse performance in terms of plosives and handling noise.
