Mark Zeigler Yacht Sales strikes again with another quality listing for sale. It is rare for Mark to list sailing yachts, so when he does, you know you are getting a yacht that is being offered at a very high standard, and thats exactly what you get with this 1988 Tartan 40 sailing yacht for sale.
The yacht has had the same owner for around 15 years, who has spent considerable time, money, and effort in maintaining and upgrading the yacht over the years. At first glance, you will notice all the varnished wood work is covered in custom canvas to protect it from the Florida sun. The sprayhood is virtually brand new, with very clear windows compared to most other yachts I have been on.
All the lines on the yacht lead aft to the cockpit so you don't have to walk along the decks while the boat is underway, adding to the safety and comfort. The anchor on the bow is even operated with a powerful electric windlass, again to make life onboard easier. There is a full instrument panel with a variety of electronics right at the helm, and more than ample storage in the cockpit as well.

Mark Zeigler Yacht Sales invited me down to check out one of their latest listings, a 1999 McKinna 57 Pilothouse Motor Yacht for sale. This was the first time I had ever been on a McKinna Yacht, and to be honest, I did not know what to expect. One step onboard, and I was hooked! extended bathing platform for swimming and diving, aft cockpit with fully grilling station and wet bar, open plan interior with the saloon, galley, and pilothouse being altogether with so much natural light, and spacious accommodation down below that would make you never want to spend a night on land again!
Further more, you have a fully enclosed flybridge that also has enough seating for your friends and family to join you, with a sports tender stored up top ready for launching whenever needed.
This may have been my 1st time on a McKinna Yacht, but I hope it is not my last!!

The Sea Doo Fish Pro Sport is in no way your average jet ski. As a kid, jet skis were very small, loud, uncomfortable, and basic. None of these words apply to the Sea Doo Fish Pro! The jet ski measures 146.8" in length and 49.4" in beam. The ski is powered by a 1630cc ACE engine producing 170hp. This engine will provide speeds of around 60mph in the right condition. The 18.5 gallon fuel capacity will allow a cruising range of around 100 miles, perfect for a full day on the water.
Unlike any other jet ski I have seen, this one has more storage, and more equipment than you could ever imagine. This includes a Garmin 7 inch multi-function display with both chart plotter and fish finding capabilities. On the transom, there is a LinQ® fishing cooler with 13.5 US gal capacity. The jet ski even has iBR®, Sea Doo’s Intelligent Brake & Reverse System, making this a very easy ski to handle.

If you are looking for a family friendly center console, then I highly recommend the Sea Fox 248 Commander! This particular example was on display at the Orlando Boat Show for $112,400. This includes a 300hp Yamaha outboard that reaches speeds close on 50mph, but cruises at 23mph with a range of 400 miles!! You have fishboxes and rod holders everywhere! Comfortable seating on the transom, helm, and bow. You even have a heads compartment inside the console with a holding tank and all from a boat that is only 24ft in length!

This Mystic Powerboats M3800 was my first introduction to the Mystic lineup, and immediately I was hooked!! This example was on display at the St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show earlier this year and did a fantastic job at turning heads!! Bright colors, loud stereo, and a full compliment of outboards on the transom help this boat stand out from all others.
The boat measures 38ft 7 inches in length, with a beam of 10ft 6 inches, and with a bridge clearance of only around 9ft. The boat is designed to carry 293 gallons of fuel, 36 gallons of fresh water, and 16 gallon holding tank. That’s because as well as being a phenomenal center console for performance cruising and offshore fishing, the M3800 also has a heads compartment and double berth making this the perfect weekender.

This is a fantastic boat that would be perfect for those looking to complete the Great Loop, and when you circle back to Florida, turn right and head on over the Atlantic for the Med Loop!
It is hard to believe that at 41ft in length, this boat offers not only the fuel range for crossing the pond, but the sea keeping qualities that go with it as well. The boat could easily be handled by a husband-and-wife team, and the deck access from the helm helps make it possible for easy single-handed berthing when needed as well.
I also like the fact that this boat is powered by twin diesels and not a single diesel. It is always a personal preference, but I would rather have twins for improved maneuverability and also improved reliability where you basically have a spare engine to get you home if something goes wrong.

This boat was sold new in the fresh water Great Lakes, and stayed there until she was brought down to Jacksonville in 2017 here she remains on undercover, out of water storage. The result, is a very smooth and clean looking hull compared to most boats of this era on the market today.
