It’s hard to be productive with an enemy. It’s hard to trust a frenemy. But it’s fun to make music with a friend who “gets” you.
Doing video, a good little chunk of my professional life has been the search for technological friends.
The result of that is my current home studio.
This is about helping you get a fast start on content creation from home. Fast out of the gate, and saving unbelievable gobs of time throughout the process.
It’s about every friendly thing you’ll need and why. It will also give you the budget buys for some of the items where I think it might actually be of benefit.
Either way, this video has but one purpose: to clear your path to creativity, because technology can too often be your frenemy.
Let’s make it a fast friend instead.

I believe you can change the world, just by giving away free rides.
It works because it uses “try-before-you-buy”, which is the opposite of trying to talk someone into buying.
But for the seller, it does something just as important. It’s hard to appreciate how debilitating complexity in marketing can be. It’s not just the endless choices. It’s the fact that there is no organizing principle around most of them beyond “hey, maybe this will work”.
The truth is, mostly what you need is something to say and a willingness to say it over and over again. You might think this requires amazing copywriting skills. It doesn’t.
Here’s an introduction to the elements of a simple system that works well for those who aren’t professional copywriters, are allergic to hype and tired of the taste of frothy nothingness.

Being able to make your text do the samba is a much-requested item these days. And for good reason. Text can add a lot of panache to the simplest of productions.
The cool thing is that regardless of the editing platform you may be using, whether you are a Mac person or a PC person, the techniques for making onscreen text do cool stuff under your control are about as easy as they can be.
What makes it less than easy is when you don't know why you're doing it. In this lesson, Steve explains why certain things happen onscreen when they do, how long they should take, and exactly how to do them, all in about 10 minutes.
Good deal? Take a look. Then, if you liked it, please do the following 3 things:

Who hasn't heard the expression "Money Loves Speed"? Kind of an obscure answer to a question no one asked, really. But it always bothered me, even from the time I first heard it.
How fast is the speed of money anyway?
Then it hit me. This really is one of the keys to success. A big one, actually.
Here's how to get it.

We humans love to buy things.
We love the anticipation, the sense of discovery, and the hope of progress that goes along with it. Or maybe that’s just me..
But I don’t think so. After all, from the perfect kitchen knife to the fastest computer to that $5,000 per month mastermind, who buys with a grudge in their heart? Not a one.
So it’s worth giving a thought as to how exactly a sale like that happens. Or any other for that matter.
Do we NEED to persuade someone to do something they’re ready, able and want badly to do? Is that how it’s done?
Or does it even matter? After all, once any sales tactic has chalked up another victory, the aftertaste is quickly forgotten, right?
Something to think about on a blustery Spring day...

Five words. That's all it takes to start attracting super-fans.
But we have objections.
One, we know so much and we even want to know more before we take that big step into the scary unknown. That can become so complicated that at some point we can forget how to tie our own shoelaces!
Sometimes we just get "ambitious". And that's when things really go sideways.
I know this from painful experience. Really. Painful. Kills your confidence. You don't want to go there. Seriously.
That's why I say over and over that 80% (maybe more) of this is an inner game.
This is one critical twist, though it takes only three minutes to explain. :)
