I was welcoming some street preachers from Edmonton, Alberta when one of the drunkards that hangs around in Surrey central attacked him and ripped off his mouth piece. The brother ended up receiving cuts on his fingers. After that they were harassed by an officer who wants them to shut off their speakers when there were other amplifications in the area.
“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew.5:11-12.

After Charles T Russell fail prediction of the end of the world and the reign of Christ beginning in 1914. Rutherford took over the organization through an internal coup, and began a major rewriting of the then Bible Student doctrine by inventing his own. This includes changing the name of the Bible Students into Jehovah's Witnesses, and introduced his own prediction of the kingdom of God coming in 1925. How did he get to this date? By counting 70 jubilees of 50 years to equal 3,500 year from Israel entering Canaan, which he claimed was in 1575 A.D, which landed him in 1925. And boy, did he draw more followers or what, but many later were disappointed after nothing happened in 1925, and left movement while some stayed.

"'Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.“ ‘Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Matthew.24:14.
