Test video with the GoPRO HD HERO and an underside mount. Fly time with the camera is about 10 minutes with a 1300mAh battery. I don't use the original battery it may take damage through overheating. Drone balance is perfect, and flight smooth and without wobbles or vibrations. Only wind seems to upset altitude control a bit. The camera mount is a 100x45mm carbon fiber plate fixed to the drone by a rubber band. An extrusion of 60x35mm in the mount is angled 15 degrees down. Camera, mount, and rubber band weigh 103 grams. The original aim of this project was to build a superior platform to plot and expose PCBs for rapid prototyping needs, but as the project itself grew I decided that I would attempt to build a 3D printer. It can still do all of the other things I wanted it for. Admitted, this is a very small 3D Printer with only 125 by 125mm printing area, but it can replicate all its parts but one, and I can just make that one smaller. The results, showing how well the design fitted for 3D printing are most astonishing (to me).
