The Road and the Grail Myth - Cormac McCarthy Course
In today's video, we're exploring the multi-layered world of Cormac McCarthy's "The Road," inspired by Lydia R. Cooper's idea of the Fisher King in "The Road." We're not just discussing the typical father and son's struggle for survival in a post-apocalyptic world. We're diving into the mythological and cultural depths that make this novel a modern-day grail narrative!
Cormac McCarthy's 2022 novel "The Passenger" was an unexpected addition to the transgender literature community, however, McCarthy's first trans character was featured in his 1979 novel "Suttree." In today's video, I will review McCarthy's three-step method for transgender characters to enhance his narratives. This is a literary analysis video focused on McCarthy's writing technique, not me putting my hat on either side of the culture war. This channel tries to avoid modern politics as much as possible. Peace!
