My first experience with test patterns was on Saturday mornings in the late 70s and early 80s.
Sometimes, I'd get up TOO early to watch cartoons and just see a set of colored bars on the screen.
I didn't know why they had them on the screen and so I thought they just meant "cartoons aren't on just yet."
As it turns out, this set of colored bars on my parents' TV set had a very important purpose. My father, who'd taken a course on TV repair in the 60s didn't bother with doing it, but later, when I first got into videography, I learned it and started to use it.
So, what does this have to do with ProPresenter? As it turns out, quite a lot.
ProPresenter has a BUNCH of test patterns that you can use to make your displays (whether they're TVs, Projectors, or even an LED wall) look better, and objectively so.
Now that you know, how do you use them and where are they located? Watch the video above, starting tomorrow, April 4, 2023 at 11a eastern/ 8a pacific, to find out:

Church Video: On today's Tech, No Babel: DSLR Lenses and their uses
When you're looking at cameras and their lenses, it can get confusing fast. There are all sorts of measurements. What's an 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 IS lens anyway?
The first number (18-55mm) is the focal length. Smaller numbers take wider pictures and larger numbers take closer pictures. 3.5-5.6 means that it has an aperture that at it's widest is either f 3.5 (when zoomed out) or f 5.6 (when zoomed in). This means that you can set the picture at one focal length, but it might be too bright or dim at another when you changed nothing but the zoom.
Longer lenses like my 70-150mm lens are great for getting close to the action, but tend to have smaller maximum apertures (in this case f 4.5).
