Hip Flexor Treatment | Melbourne Muscular Therapies
This form of treatment is a signature move of practitioners at Melbourne Muscular Therapies.
Hip Flexor Pain is a very common dysfunction, and is directly related to Lower Back Pain and general Hip/Pelvic dysfunction.
This pain is commonly presented as niggly/sharp and non specific, as it generally comes from solidified tension/calcification within the tendons attaching to the pubic bone.
What is needed is a direct release at the attachment point using deep sustained pressure. Pressure is applied to the band of adductor tendons near the pubic bone. Once the body has settled to the pressure, the angle is adjusted so that the elbow/thumb can scrape/clean the pubic bone free of all solidified tension.

Ninja demonstrates a barefoot sprint acceleration session.
12.5m, 25m and 37.5m reps distances. Standing and 3 point starts. Full recovery between sets.
Remember to start every second rep off the opposite foot.
Work on your angles to give you optimal potential to hey from A to B the fastest. Your setup position and posture can be tweaked as you get stronger, faster and more efficient at starting and transitioning into your sprint.
Train with a partner. Handicap the start location so that there will be an even finish if all people run near their best. This will ensure everybody will try. Bobody will be deflated or unchallenged that way. Pure biomechanics will be expressed. The most efficient pathways will flourish in order to get you from A to B faster.
A session like this can be really healing. This exposes the body to pure forces and postures. It flushes the pipes in a manner that allows tbe body to heal, balance, get more coordination and performance.
Sprinting is the ultimate physical expression of a human being.
