Wrestling with Amy...hear the purring? Yes, bears do make that sound. I think that's Jenny OFF camera but I'll ask Susan.

Our annual holiday online auction is starting next week. MAKE SURE YOU ARE FOLLOWING US so you can get the link! These are SOME of the bears that we will be auctioning off. They are made from our own bears fur, that Susan brushes out of the bears, cleans and has spun into yarn. ONE OF A KIND ITEM you will NOT find anywhere else on earth! Quite a unique gift! Thank you to our spinners and our knitters - we could not do this without you. Thank you also to Susan Weber from Grumpy Goat Fine Yarn for coordinating this for us !

This is one of Squeaky’s children! Squeaky has been quite prolific since her rehab and release a few years ago. I mean...well....I don’t want to judge or anything, but she doesn’t seem to know the word “no”. Her kids are kinda cute though, ya have to admit.

The first step in making the Christmas Teddy Bears! Gathering the fur! Yes, Susan brushes the bear, collects the hair and then it is cleaned and spun into yarn..that yarn is then used to make the teddy bears we auction off each year!

What a bear does on a super hot day....well...what Jimbo does on a super hot day. :)
Depending on the time of year, we always get questions about the color of the water in the pond. We do not have a chemical and concrete pool for the bears, The pond is actually a natural pond like what you would find in the woods. Different times of year, it is different colors. Sometimes it is greener, sometimes it is browner, sometimes it is clearer. We don't pump any chemicals into it and the pond is the natural color of the time of year - exactly like what you would find if you went hiking. Also the color will change depending on how much the bears have been in it that day, stirring up silt or mud from the bottom. There is nothing wrong or "unclean" about it. :)

Our little black bear cub is doing well. Finally putting on a little weight. As you can see, she sure could use a nice brushing....but since she is a rehab-and-release bear we of course don’t interact with her in any way. But she is still doing well and we zoomed our camera to try to get you some video of her.
