A ceremony of thanks to volunteers that helped us over a number of weeks. All volunteers really made a difference to the projects and young people in southeast Asia they have supported.
Without our volunteers,at Openmind Projects we wouldn't be able to do what we do so well.
Thank you!

Watch footage from our three-day Volunteer & Cross Cultural Training held at the Openmind Projects Training Center in Nong Khai.
At Openmind Projects we believe a quality experience is equally important for the volunteer as well as for the local project. All volunteers are encouraged to attend our three-day Volunteer & Cross Cultural Training before embarking on their project. It is not a short orientation or introduction but intense training conducted together with local people who come from the projects volunteers support, so volunteers are well prepared for the culture they dive into. Volunteers learn language and culture, teaching and working, and practice new skills in real situations.

Watch our trainees from Laos teaching younger Lao students using Openmind Projects' "learning by doing" philosophy - learning and then applying that knowledge immediately in an activity.
Openmind Projects' trainees come from the field projects we support in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. They are all young people from poor backgrounds with limited access to education in English and computers. We provide English and IT lessons with our volunteers along with free meals and accommodation at our Training Center.
After they've completed their time with us, studying with local staff and overseas volunteers, many go on to further study, get better jobs than were previously open to them, start up their own businesses or teach others and pass on what they have learnt to their friends and families at home.
