THAT'S WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE SOUTH - Phil Harris (Ukulele Cover)
Happy Thanksgiving 2021! I am getting the pies baked ahead of time. Last night was the apple pies and tonight is time for pumpkin. Fresh is best! Recorded this evening for Season 510 of the Ukulele: Friends and Family ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xr5d6xLxz7o
I got this song off of a charming album of English folksongs sung by David Jones with accompaniment by Bill Shute entitled "Widdecombe Fair" (2003.)

This is a sequence of 21 mini-songs that are part of the 1992 album "Apollo 18" by They Might Be Giants. Here I try to wrestle the whole crazy-quilt of songs into a single un-edited take using only my mighty Martin Soprano ukulele.
Recorded this afternoon for Season 456 Of The Ukulele: "IN SEQUENCE" (Songs from albums you listened to so much that if you hear one song, you can't help but mentally hear the next song in the sequence.)
Special shout-out to my cousin, Jon Rye in Monmouth, Oregon USA.

It has been rough all over. Even though I have kept to the perimeter of all things Nirvana, it felt right to let this band annihilate my mind for the last couple of weeks.
Lithium is the lightest metal and the lightest solid element (atomic no. 3.) I recorded this late in the afternoon today as part of Season 446 Of The Ukulele: ROCK AND METAL. That is to say, songs about minerals and metals. Lithium is certainly a very special metal and this is a very special song. RIP Kurt Cobain.
