Age Old Question ? To Cleanse or Not to Cleanse in Your Morning Skincare Routine? Or Just Rinse?
The answers to this question are as varied as there are skin types. There is no one size fits all answer. It seems to be very individual - although if you google this, many websites offer contrasting opinions. I've found there is no hard rule for myself, although if I am using thicker occlusive products in my evening routine a quick gentle cleansing works best. Or if you use certain water-resistant sunscreens, they will probably apply better if your skin is clean. One thing I will recommend to all- if you are cleansing in the morning, using a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser is the way to go for all. An SLS free, fragrance-free cleanser is the way to go!

After being asked by subscribers, friends, and my husband for my favorite drug store skin care and makeup products, I decided to do a week long Walmart $100 Challenge. To be honest, I was most excited by the $100 Husband-Sanctioned Shopping Spree. It was a bit challenging finding good skincare options for those with sensitive skin looking for fragrance and denatured alcohol free products. With some time and sleuthing I was able to find a good "basic" skin care routine that is good enough for my sensitive skin. Â
The main issue I ran into was finding a fragrance free and affordable vitamin c serum. It was also highly challenging to find affordable AHA/ BHA products. Almost as difficult was finding a good retinol that was both well-packaged and fragrance free. It ended up not being much of an issue since my budget wouldn't allow any of these! I thought $100 would go a little further...  Make sure to check out each day of my journey surviving on $100 Walmart for Skin Care & Makeup. Â
