I've wanted to do a video with this song for few years now but never did due to technological restraints and laziness. Today I had neither to hold me back.
Recorded on a Tascam Porta 03 MKII in my parent's garage circa 1996.
Vocals: Eric Gonzales
Guitar: Julio de La Llata
Bass: Justin Boyd
Drums: Adam Byram

This is me playing some random stuff to test my recording set up.
The audio was recorded with two Samson C02 mics set up in the recorder man configuration. I also had a SM57 on the kick for some extra punch. Overall I'm pretty happy with the C02s.

A vid of me setting up and recording a demo of my new Studio Projects B3 condenser mics. After using my Samson C02s as overheads for the past couple years I felt like I wanted more from them. I decided that I wanted some large diaphragm condensers as overheads instead of pencil condensers because it just seemed to make more sense to me for some reason. After looking around I decided on a pair of B3 mics since they are cheap and seem to have good reviews. So far I'm very impressed and look forward to recording more with them.
Yes, there is five minutes of me setting up. I thought it be fun to show the process from start to finish. If you don't care then skip to 5:00.
The song playing is Tha by Aphex Twin.
The recording at the end is the raw unprocessed sound from the overheads and a little of the kick mic mixed in but not much.
Mics: Two Studio Projects B3 mics as overheads and a Shure Beta 52a on the kick.
P.S. my camera sucks.

Live recording from rehearsal with the Space Elevators. Original song by DJ Shadow.
We recreated this track from the ground up using the original samples used by DJ Shadow. Not samples from the DJ Shadow track. Drums and guitar are played live while samples were manually triggered by myself and Ben. Funnily enough, this video received a copyright flag on YouTube by the record company of the DJ Shadow track. A copyright flag for a recreation of a song recreated by samples multiple other original works by multiple other artists. Fucking ridiculous. Fuck copyright law.

I've been using this Acro for many years now as my main snare. When I originally purchased the shell from ebay, I made a little project of restoring it to its original glory and documented the process with photos. I decided it would be fun to make a little slide show of the photos. Enjoy.

The final track from the Ghosts album. No drum track on the original, of course. Not that the song really needs it. I thought it would be a nice challenge play in a way that demanded more melody than rhythm from the drums. Whether or not I succeeded, I don't know. But I like the result anyway.

Another Sabrepulse track from the VerĂ£o album. Pretty straight forward and nothing too fancy but it jams.
