A new road trip with the bike crew (การเดินทางถนนใหม่กับกลุ่มรถจักรยานยนต์)
I met up with the bike crew from the Foreign motorcycle riders in Thailand Facebook group again today and we went out on a road trip to explore some more of the Bangkok area on our bikes. Again we had Goy join us from the last ride and some other new faces, and some sweet looking bikes too!
We started off at G & G Coffee Shop, then stopped off at Utthayan Road which leads up to Putthamonthon. Fed the fish at Putthamonthon then continued on to the Riva Floating Cafe in Nakhon Pathom. Once we finished there, it was just Goy and me who continued onto the Jesada Technique Museum and had a look around there. We wrapped it up after checking out the old aircraft on the Jesada estate and headed home. All up, it was an enjoyable ride.

Today we take a short drive west out to Nakhon Pathom to look at a new housing estate. The salon has been running for almost a year now so we are approaching the time where Chanya can qualify for a home loan. This means we can now start some dream building and go check out what sort of places are on offer.
We looked at a few places last year but it was too early to make any commitments back then. Now that she has some bank reporting, Chanya feels they may take a more serious look at our needs. This Social Plus+ estate is quite nice and I could certainly see a lot of appeal for this style of house. I still want to look at more options and get a firm commitment from the bank before getting my hopes too high. So stay tuned and we'll organise some more walkthroughs for different options we come across over the next few months.

During our bi-weekly visit to Bangkok, we found ourselves with a couple of hours to spare between events. Having prepared a list of places to explore, we decided to visit the Papaya Design Furniture Studio, which had caught my attention through numerous blog articles.
Upon arrival, we discovered that Papaya Studio is a treasure trove of unique vintage collectibles from all over the world. It’s difficult to think of any object that couldn’t be found somewhere within this unassuming warehouse building, located in the suburbs of Bangkok. From Scandinavian designer furniture to Chinese porcelain, creepy mannequin dolls to retro racing bikes, life-size action hero figures to thousands of other curiosities, the store is a veritable Valhalla for collectors.
The mastermind behind this eclectic collection is none other than Mr. Tong, an eccentric antique and vintage collector. Over the past 25 years, he has amassed an impressive collection of curiosities that spans the globe.

We start out our second day with a buffet breakfast, and as soon as that was done, we went in search of real coffee. I had a few places I wanted to check out as tourist attractions because I'm sure there are already enough videos of the bars and massage parlours. We left the rest of the group to do their own things, and Todd and I check out Ripley's Believe It or Not and Louis Tussaud's Waxworks. Both were interesting, but I felt there could have been more to see. We then go down to the beach to get some pictures and compare them to the evening scene. We round off the morning with a foot massage on Second Road. You know; it's that massage with little fish eating your feet!
