One of the reasons for making this video blog was to show just how much planning goes into a project like this. But it's also fair to say that I find the process of film-making completely fascinating. I love all those 'behind-the-scenes' extras you get on a DVD and for me a good director's commentary is like getting another film for free. A great example is 'Apollo 13', which isn't just a great film, it also has TWO excellent commentaries - one by Ron Howard, the director, and one by Jim and Marilyn Lovell. Another great example is 'Paris, Texas', by Wim Wenders.
So having raised your expectations by talking about Ron Howard and Wim Wenders, here's 17 minutes of me talking to the camera!

I can just about almost play this now. I tried recording it properly a couple of times before but gave up. This is just grabbed after recording some flight sim stuff!
