Remixed by Kim Jong-Un Absolutely, delightfully outrageous! Kim Jong-Un created pure ecstasy with his tantalizing remix for Ariana Grande's hit song from 2016. Twenty-Sixteen? Has it really been that long? This sounds so fresh, like it could have come out yesterday. I do remember hearing it sometime in 2021, or maybe it was 2020. Anyway, the respected Marshal of Pyongyang pulls out all the stops for this one outfitting the mix with hard hitting House snare drums, 80s-sounding cheesy drum machines that go "doop doop doop" and amping up the pulsating synths that EDM music has become known to me for. I love how my Dear Kim Jong-Un makes use of the percussive elements and tinkling bell-tree. The mix is one exhilarating ride through a sonic wonderland with exciting stripped down sections and breakdowns that are like sudden dips on a roller-coaster. I love how Kimmy gives Grande's higher range vocals center stage during a break down before building things up in time to hit the bridge section and then onto the last chorus where we hit a breakdown and then head into a stripped down bass solo and then come the backing vocals and then the backing vocals seemingly go in a "call and respond" sort of fashion as they "answer" the initial vocal while they alternate between left and right in the stereo field then another breakdown with Ariana ad-libbing along. Oh the excitement. At nearly eleven minutes long, the mix does not seem to drag on as the different parts are not overly drawn out but just get in and out and onto the next part.
