After family left from the weekend, I had one last week of the dumpster before its scheduled return, and a rather large storage shed that was chock-full of stuff that mostly hadn't moved since 1986. It was a combination of physical labor, emotional turmoil, and kind of scaring up old ghosts.
The past couple of weeks, any time that wasn't taken up by work was put into the cleanout. This was the worst part so far, and it's not quite done yet, but we nearly filled a 3 cu. yd. dumpster in the process.
The best part is that the shed is now clear enough to be usable. There's still more stuff that I need to go through and a pretty major cleanup that needs to happen before it could become a true workshop space, but if it were up to me, that's what it would become.

A friend of mine has a Firefly Mobility rig for his wheelchair, and he really likes it, except for the limited range. Each battery on a full charge gets somewhere between 11 and 14 miles, and he's looking to at least double that.
The company doesn't sell extended-range batteries, so we're making some custom packs that can give him the range he wants. Or at least trying to.
My plan is to convert these from a 30s1p pack to a 10s3p pack, add a BMS, and get him to the range extension he's looking for, all while staying on a budget.
This is part one of this series, and is probably some useful information if you're looking to purchase any of these modules for your own use.

Doing laundry, and found standing water flooding part of the basement.
When the main sewer line gets clogged, it's time to bring in some power tools.
If you own a house, this is the kind of skill that you should have. You can do it yourself and save a couple hundred bucks, or you can pay someone else to do it for you. You can decide for yourself.

The dogs were so excited to see me when I got home that they managed to break out the bottom window of the upstairs porch door.
It's going to rain, so fixing the window was a pretty high priority.

Quick test of an old 35mm stills lens I used to use quite a lot. GH4, shot at 4k/24p CinelikeV initially, no lighting or color grading. The adapter has an adjustable back focus, so I was trying to see if I could calibrate the lens distance ring. Short answer is No, but I usually pull focus on a live monitor anyway.

One of the tasks on the list up at Mom's. Nothing super special, more playing with a couple of cameras.

I needed some comfort food. I recently had a cup of this from Nighthawk's diner, and this is my attempt to recreate it, and add my own spin.
Cheap and easy to make.
