It's essentially built out of tent poles configured in a way that the chair supports your weight like a hammock stand. The weight of your body is directed directly down into the poles, there's no lateral forces trying to bend them. it's really a smart design. The chair is also light, very light. It weighs 35.5OZ with the case. When you see the size of the chair the lightness is even more impressive. One feature this chair has that the Big Agnes Helinox doesn't, is the adjustable legs. This allows you to raise or lower the chair and to also make adjustments for uneven or sloped ground. Nice improvement over the Big A chair. All the materials have a nice fit and finish and the corners where the poles attached are robustly reinforced. The poles aren't poking through this material anytime soon. The poles are quite ridged, very little flex, and everything fits together very well. The main material of the chair surface is the only thing I would worry about, just thin nylon and if there's a failure, this is where it's going to be. I do think you'll want to be gentle with it to keep the material from tearing or the poles from buckling though.
