My collaborator was not intending her fractal for this event. However when I saw it, the colors and something that looks like eyes all over her image, it brought to mind the song
*WHEN IRISH EYES ARE SMILING*.
Today's St Patrick's Day celebrations have been greatly influenced by those that developed among the Irish diaspora, especially in North America. Until the late 20th century, St Patrick's Day was often a bigger celebration among the diaspora (Irish folks living outside of Ireland or the UK) than it was in Ireland.
With mutual respect of each other's work we make digital art to entertain and amaze.
The *first* frame after the credits is Fractal Caleidoscope's edited fractal. The rest of the video are Abstract Kaleids made from her fractals by me using Kaleider.

Have you ever seen black pearls? How about blue, violet, dark purple and white? This video has mostly dark colored pearls with swirls of mother-of-pearl within. As the light hits them at different point in the animated kaleid, they seem to change colors but really that is an optical illusion. They are set in an antique broach.

Grandma made a big blue quilt for the bed she and grandpa shared. She used old material from grandpa's flannel shirts, her old dresses and anything with blue colors in it. She embroidered blue corn flowers on the middle two squares.That quilt was lined with batting for those cold northern winter nights.
Then when the kids came along they slept 3 to a bed. The girls wanted the quilt but grandpa said blue was for boys. Grandma said the boys could use it half the winter and the girls could use it the other half. Grandma was a peace maker.
Now grandma made other quilts in her life time. She sold them at county fairs and gave some to newly weds. Grandma and Grandpa did not have much money, but throughout their lives they had food they grew themselves, a home and an old blue quilt to keep the kids warm. Now that old blue quilt is being used by her great granddaughter. Her favorite color is blue. It is faded and worn in spots and the blue barely shows but it is a hug from a grandma the young girl never met. The song is country, the story is fiction based on many true stories. The art is abstract fractals and kaleids. But if you look real close you can see the love Grandma put in that old blue quilt with every stitch. Thanks for watching. JJ:D

This is the seventh in a series of collaborations between two fractal artists. *Fractal Caleidoscope (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBZj9rNtbi2DrwxnGxDVJcg) created the beautiful and unique fractals.
She then gave them to me to edit and make them into kaleids. I am taking them to the next level. Two artists working together to create something beautiful from the talents of both of them. There will be more like this.

Think of a piece of jewelry that has an amazing design. Imagine emeralds set in 24k gold. Now imagine it animated. This is what today's video is about. If I had the skill set to create jewelry like this, I would make it. Just for the fun of it.
Of course if someone with lots of money they didn't know what to do with wanted to buy it, I would sell it. Then I would give the money to everyone I know who needs help. Not help buying a house they could never afford, but to the millions of people who need food, clean drinking water and a place to live of any kind. The thought for Monday is, If you are feeling down because you have bills, the taxes are too high and your mortgage is another 20 years to pay off, be thankful you have a home, food, clothing and potable water in your tap. I love lilacs. In all colors but especially purple. This video is a tribute to them. When we lived in the much cooler northern part of the US we had these bushes all over. This time of year the scent of lilacs was everywhere.
In the higher altitudes in Arizona we have seen some lilac bushes but here in the city of Tucson it gets way to hot for them to thrive. We cannot even get a delivery of cut lilacs as they die from time of picking to delivery even in refrigerated truck.
That is one of the very few things I miss about the north. I love the warmer climate and lack of tornadoes and mosquitoes.
Someone needs to make a genre of lilacs that will grow in the desert. I wonder if that amazing scent would be as good?

What is a "Christian Home" like? More than likely much like everyone else's. There are messes and kids who make them. Moms who clean them up and dads who help moms. But what is the real spiritual dynamic like?
Do you ever pray together, even if only at meal time? Do you teach your children about the Lord and His Saving Grace? Do they know who Jesus is? Did they ever go to Sunday school?
It is up to the Christian believers to make sure their own family puts into practice, daily Christian rules and ideas. The kids will not get their faith passively. We need to teach them from a young age about our beliefs. Also cut their viewing of television to a minimum. In this new millennium the programs of television put down and laugh at Christian values. They make kids feel like they are not quite right in the head for believing in one God, a Redeemer who died for them. If they are over 7 they know the difference between right and wrong. We need to be strong believers as parents and grandparents. Make sure everyone is on the same page. Let us show our children what a wonderful Lord and Father we have. Now before they are indoctrinated into false gods and unbelief. Ask Jesus to help you and pray for your children and grandchildren daily that they are not tempted to go down the wrong paths. Thank you for allowing me to share my faith with you. In Jesus name, Amen.
