Sometimes or most of the time those of us who make guitars don't really need something like a blueprint for an aircraft.
We want a quick and useful solution.
Here is a very simple way to apply a big border ignoring the flaws that can bring the lines, edges or faces of a guitar body.
Use Pipe and be happy!
You can use the same principle with composite edges and blending them together.

Working with the Maker Plus version this month, I came to the conclusion that it has serious limitations for creating reliefs.
Despite having much better relief and machining features than VCarve, it is still inefficient for those who make guitars.
So 50 dollars a month is a lot.
Carveco Maker, in addition to being superior to VCarve, being able to bring as many 3D reliefs as you want and having much more autonomy in creating your toolpaths, is the best option among Carveco products and its monthly cost is only 15 dollars.
I still think that software like Carveco Maker and Moi3D are the best combinations for making guitars.
These two software are easy to learn and provide incredible results.
If you have a guitar factory and can hire qualified people with engineering knowledge, I recommend a Rhino Cam, Fusion 3D and Alpha Cam.
But anyway, I've worked for factories that used Artcam, Aspire and Carveco too.
This will depend on your choice.
I've already prepared some of my guitars for Carveco Maker and I'm going to make some videos with Moi 3D and Carveco Maker so you can see how they work very well together.
In fact, you know that I have been selling guitar files ready for VCarve and Aspire for over 15 years with prices ranging from 65 to 95 dollars.
If you are interested in any of them to open in Carveco Maker, write to me in the comments below.
I'm willing to give you a 15-dollar discount equivalent to a 1-month subscription to Carveco Maker so you can test it.
After a month, you tell us about your experience with it.
In the meantime, I'll be preparing more videos for you.
To be clear.
I'm not saying that Maker Plus is bad for making guitars.
So I'm speaking from my point of view and based on my way of working.
It has the possibility of creating guitar reliefs, but the lack of relief layers makes this quite complicated.
In the end there is a balance between the impossibility of importing several reliefs in VCarve and the lack of being able to manipulate these different reliefs separately in Carveco without having to resort to the "Relief Cookie Cutter".
The full Carveco version already gives us more freedom to create very complicated reliefs. Really quite complex.
So I'm speaking from my point of view and based on my way of working.

Hi, I'm Alex Navarro, luthier for over 20 years and CNC guitar maker since 2005.
Since 2010 I've been making CNC guitars for luthiers from several countries, mainly the United States, Canada and Germany.
Currently I'm more relaxed working for only two companies, keeping my popular guitars for Vectric and Carveco and doing some things with 3d printing in my spare time.
It is true that I like to teach and teach for free when possible.
Youtube and Odysee have given me this.
I have another channel in Portuguese with many videos where I teach much more than just making guitars.

If you see any interesting videos there that you think are cool for the 3dcncguitars channel, let me know that I make an English version of this video.
