Try making kefir with Half and Half if you don’t have Raw Milk on hand. Whether you use Milk or Half and Half always stay away from products that have synthetic vitamin D and/or Vitamin A added or any other fillers. And of course, Organic is preferred.
If I used Milk, I prefer Raw, but the next best for kefir would be an Organic brand. I have only found one brand so far which also leaves out synthetic vitamins which is the following:

And if you cannot get anything else then Half and Half with no other ingredients but Milk and Cream would be the next choice.
