The reverse-vortex plasma power generator PEG-2 was developed, manufactured and tested in our organization for the first time. Significant groundwork obtained earlier in the development and operation of a once-through plasma vortex reactor was used by us in the development of a new PEG-2. This work is a continuation of previously published works [1-4]. An important feature of this reactor is the possibility of using both solid-state electrodes (for example, from nickel) and liquid electrodes from molten metals (lithium, gallium, indium). When creating this reactor, a significant place was given to the reliability of measuring the parameters of the electric discharge, the temperature field in the exit section of the vortex flow, as well as measuring the flow rate of the working gas. A high-voltage DC discharge with a current amplitude of about 1 Ampere was used in the reactor to obtain plasma. Particular attention was paid to the issue of calibration calorimetric studies. In the second phase of research, the release of excess thermal energy in PEG-2 in an air plasma flow with erosive metal clusters due to the flow of LENR in this mixture was studied.
