There is no doubt that Arthur Fleck completes his full transition into the Joker by the end of Todd Phillips' movie. However, there are conversations to be had about whether or not redemption is available to him. In my full conversation with Liz Wayson we talk about the numerous reasons behind Arthur's metamorphosis; however, I think we left our conversation both wondering if there was a pathway for redemption or if it is simply too late. I think there is a part of us that wants to believe that he can change back and get the help that he needs, but he will have to want to change back as well--and that can be difficult when so many people around him are propping up his persona and feeding it.
