I did an earlier video where I tried to do this game normally- now to see if Mew, ancestor of all Pokemon, can pull it off where Swampert failed (without save states that is).
Jrose11 did a run where he tried to beat the games Red/Blue as well as Yellow with minimum battles only. You can check out his runs here:

I did like watching these runs, and though I don't normally do Pokemon challenges it did sort of inspire me to do one myself. So we see if we can beat Pokemon Emerald with no items used in battle.
