@stringemup5941 @livefromthestairwell3734 I misspoke in this video... This is the first octave of the diagonal MAJOR pentatonic. NOT the diagonal MINOR pentatonic. Just thought I should clarify... Good Guitaring! DVH ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rd90CsCreZw

Howdy! I originally uploaded this video one year ago today—but it only got 23 views! Last night I shot a long video and several shorts, but the lighting was bad and the audio was shot, so now I have no new material because I have to reshoot. I liked this video, so I thought I’d “recycle” it!

Hey Everyone!! Here's a quick recital from the students of the UAFS Guitar Studio featuring the Guitar Quartet, the Guitar Trio, and solo performances from each of the guitar majors. Jeez, this has been a tough year, and I'm glad we could present something to cap the year off!!!! Each student has done a heckuva job considering ALL the obstacles the past calendar year has given us! I think next year, even when we can do live recitals again, that we'll STILL do an online recital just like this EVERY semester!!!! Thanks for watching!!!!

This is a short followup to the "Practical Theory for New or Confused Guitarists" and "Transitioning to the Ukulele from the Guitar" videos I posted at the end of the summer. Ukulele chord diagrams are provided, along with guitar chord equivalents. This video focuses solely on the left hand, so there are no strumming pattern breakdowns--I'll cover THAT topic in the next ukulele video. Have fun!!

Howdy! Double stop, or parallel, bends are great for adding a bit of grit, or grind to your solo lines--and the learning curve isn't that big; you can learn how to do them in about 5 minutes! Please Like, share and subscribe! Every little bit helps out!

Howdy! You can also use the Half Cadence to END a section of music, setting up a key shift for the next section of music!
