Building a track for the new 1/76 Turbo Racing RC Mini Cooper. The rails will all be movable so layout can be changed. This is the 1st test after painting and varnishing the racing surface.
Built an SCX24 Warthog using 3D printed parts from Cults3D and a SCX24 Deadbolt as a donor. 3D printed custom high clearance links, using the dimensions for the rear links for a SCX24 Jeep JLU. Max servo with a Treal servo mount. Powered by a Mofo Torque Beast motor. Stock wheels and tires from the deadbolt. As the build instructions suggested we removed the springs from the shocks for full droop.
My initial thought is that it needs some low weight and better tires. I will be trying the Wrangles and Scramblers to see how they both mounted on stamped steel wheels so that will add some low weight.
Firat crawl for the Ascent-18 Baby Blue. Modified it a tad, leaned the shocks in and moved the upper rear links to the upper hole. All went well until I broke a rear lower link. I 3d printed some new one and was back in business. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/redcat-ascent-18-lower-links-gramps50-2
Took a stock SCX24 Deadbolt with a Holmes Hobby Tourge Master Sport 050 55T motor and tested it with and without 7.6g each wheel weight extensions. Tried to run the same line on my indoor course starting and stopping at the same places. Won't say which segment is using weights, you be the Judge as to whether there was a difference or not.
Put one of the new Holmes Hobby Torque Master Sport 050 55T motors in a box stock SCX24 Deadbolt. The only modifications to the Deadbolt was the 050 55T motor and a LCG battery tray. The SCX24 was brand new right out of the box.
