So the BBT team put together a standard mining rig around two Gigabyte non-ghz edition 7970 HD's and collected some temperatures indoor and outdoor (winter) sub freezing to see if the ambient temps really do matter. Some interesting findings both on the power and effects on the rig when the entire computer was placed outside.

The basic focus laid out by Gravel Institute is flawed by design. They focus only on the basic point that if you were in early, your just selling your bag to someone in the future. The encapsulation of bitcoin's token mechanic as something that is wrapped up as a meaningless nothing is completely dismissing the premise of Proof of Work and the fact you need energy and effort to secure the network. This very simple yet fundamental process is what gives bitcoin a superpower foundation of immeasurable integrity. In this livestream I try to articulate that point a few times to grasp the care factor.
