As the World Commemorates the World Refugee Day aimed at celebrating the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home country to escape conflict or persecution.
In this report our reporter shed light on this year’s theme “Hope away from Home: A world where refugees always included” by profiling some of the Refugees that have made difference in their host communities and country at large.
Bella Nshimirimana is a Burundian who fled her country in 2011 due to political instability and resettled in Kampala.
Nshimirimana says that she faced a lot of challenges while settling in her host community and highlights her journey.
Nshimirimana says life was not easy for her and children so she had to find a way of starting up by doing all sorts of jobs
Experts say including refugees in the communities where they have found safety after fleeing conflict and persecution is the most effective way to support them in restarting their lives and enable them to contribute to the countries hosting them.

When eight extra Municipalities were listed to benefit from the Additional Funding phase of the Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure Development, Mubende did not miss out.
It became part of Cluster 5 which also included Masaka City and Entebbe Municipality some of the original 14 Municipalities that benefited from the first phase of USMID.

The archbishop of Ankole diocese the Rt. Rev. Dr. Sheldon Frederick Mwesigwa has advised Christians to adhere to the biblical teaching of observing a Sunday as a day for prayer, worship and thanksgiving.
Bishop Mwesigwa accuses Christians especially those in the corporate world for abusing Sundays by introducing and promoting all sorts of activities like marathons, physical activities and corporate social responsibilities among others.
Bishop Mwesigwa remarked this while meeting with walkers for environment who called on him at Ankole diocese offices in Mbarara city. Going by biblical teachings, after creating everything in the six days, God rested on the seventh day, a practice that Christians ought to follow throughout their lives without fail.
