Harrison was arrested along with two other individuals during a traffic stop conducted by Officer Thompson. Harrison stated shortly after bonding out, IT was approached by Officer Thompson to work his charges off. Harrison eventually met with Officer Thompson and later during a telephone conversation with Officer Thompson, Officer Thompson then asked Harrison for a $2000 loan for money to go to Las Vegas with. Officer Thompson asked him for a loan on a Friday night and was leaving for Las Vegas on Saturday. Harrison contacted Officer Thompson via telephone and during a recorded phone call advised Officer Thompson "you know the convo that we had earlier? Alright I was able to come up with $1000, is that good for you?". Officer Thompson advised that would be good for him. Harrison refers to this transaction as a "friendly loan". Officer Thompson then states that "if Harrison gets back that me and you are kinda buddies, it could be bad". Harrison makes statements that Officer Thompson knows what Harrison has "riding" on this and Harrison is the one "at risk here". Officer Thompson mentions about bringing Harrison a shotgun until he arrives back from Las Vegas and notes it was his wife's idea. Officer Thompson and Harrison then agree to meet at the Walmart on Gray Highway. Later that day, TI advised TI met with Officer Thompson at the Murphy Gas Station across from the Walmart on Gray Highway and IT provided Officer Thompson with the $1000 in cash. Officer Thompson was in his Milledgeville Police Department patrol car wearing regular street clothes. Officer Thompson got in Harrisons vehicle to conduct the exchange. They passed by an apartment complex in a busy area to get to the broken down car. Richard Russell, Christopher Brown and Jerry Martinez were conducting a narcotics investigation at the exact time the men cam to get their car. Chris brown mistook the men for drug Valera's because they left the area abruptly. Chris brown pulled the men over, eventually extracting them from the vehicle and for whatever reason the young adult in the car, Jermaine Jones had a knew jerk reaction jumped up and ran. He was tased and beat for hours until he died after falling into a coma. The GBI crime lab listed the death as a homicide and the officers involved have all been cleared. It took me a year to get the body cam and case files as the Richmond County Sheriffs Office is still to this day not releasing the records. The records are no longer part of any criminal litigation. These records I obtain eventually came from the GBI.
