Marjorie Taylor Greene Regrets That January 6th Wasn't Successful
Marjorie Taylor Greene made a string of controversial statements this week, including telling the world that her Party is a "complete failure." But it was her comments about January 6th that stood out the most. Greene lamented in a speech that January 6th didn't go her way because Donald Trump didn't get to continue playing President. Even if her comments aren't about the insurrection, they should still be considered treasonous for supporting the overthrow of the duly elected government, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is having a very, very, very bad week. Not only did she find out that she has no more friends in Congress because nobody wants to support her idiotic efforts to oust Mike Johnson as the speaker, but she also gave a speech and did a couple interviews where she said some of the dumbest things we've ever heard. And one of those things is depending on how you look at it, possibly treasonous. First and foremost, Marjorie Taylor Greene did admit a truth. She admitted that she has multiple times in the past few weeks that her Republican majority in the house has been a complete failure. No argument there, Marge. But here's what she said. We have had bitter battles with one another, but I want you to know that anyone who serves in leadership in America should be prepared to battle for what is right. We should be prepared to fight it out with one another. We should be prepared to find common ground. We should be prepared to hold the line and do what's right to do what our voters want us to do. But that has not happened in this Congress. As a matter of fact, our Republican majority has failed completely.

Again, you're right. But Marge, you're yelling at others for not finding common ground when you are the one that has had these hard line stances where you've said, if I don't get my way a hundred percent, I'm gonna move to oust you as speaker. So you are part of the problem. Like stop sitting there acting like you're not. But again, that was a truthful statement. It was truthful for the wrong reasons, but truthful nonetheless. But it was this statement that I believe has treasonous intent. Listen to this.

Oh, I feel if I had it my way, we would've impeached him a long time ago. Actually, if I had it my way, we would've been successful in our objection on January 6th, and he wouldn't even be president.

Now, it's important to note that she was not talking about the insurrection, she was not talking about the capitol riot. She made that clear. So we have to give her the benefit of the doubt there. Okay? Nevertheless, I still believe what she said right there is treasonous because even if she wasn't talking about the attack on the Capitol, she still lamenting the fact that the legislative coup to oust the duly elected president of the United States, then President-elect Biden, she's mad that that failed. She's mad, as she clearly said, that Donald Trump didn't get to remain president even though he was voted out of office.

By saying that you regret that that happened, that you regret that you were not successful with your legislative coup to stop the certification of the electoral college votes. That to me, and I think pretty much by letter of the law, would count as a treasonous statement, sedition right there. So my question now is this. Is anyone out there thinking about maybe based on this new comment, the new comment, only thinking about issuing a 14th amendment challenge to her qualifications to hold public office? I think it's worth a second look because now she is out there actively saying she regrets that she was not able to oust the sitting president of the United States. I think that sounds like treason to me.
