Kirby Super Star Ultra 01 - A Remake In a Remake!?

Time to start up a new Let's Play for DAT DER KIRBEE Series! While Kirby Super Star is technically the next game in the series, I've decided to play instead the remake of it, Kirby Super Star Ultra. In my opinion, it's a pretty solid remake and I definitely think it was worth the purchase. But I had to take some time to look at it and its original more in-depth. What differences are there between the original and this remake? After recording the first video, I've already stumbled upon some subtle differences that would only be discovered by playing both the original and the new game against each other!
Also, my goal with this Let's Play is to get through the game while imposing certain challenges for each sub-game. It can something simple like not using copy abilities at all to something a little more complex. All in all, it's a way to spice up this game I've played heavily in my childhood and to show some things that you can do to make your next playthrough more interesting!

It comes and goes when you least expect it. It looks like this fortress has decided to do the gimmick that's in ALL Mega Man games or a fair share of them. The bi-polarity blocks. Now you see them, now you don't! Though, they're appearing so late this time around, quite a surprise. But that's not the only thing that you need to worry about, apparently Iris has made bombs in her own image. Making something so innocent and gentle-looking into a complete pain to deal with!

Time to get introduced to one of the things this game will force upon the player. Not only are we revisiting old towns, we are ALSO revisiting old dungeons. This will be the first of SEVERAL instances, but the good news is that the enemies will at least change and kind of grow with you a bit. Also, you might stumble across some new stuff that you couldn't take part in previously.
However, there is ONE big change waiting for you on the upper floors of this place. Though, it seems that Niko might have missed that...

Let's start a new Let's Play a little differently. I think it'll be a good idea to give a bit of background information before we start on the first Punch-Out I've played. However, after having played the other two and appreciating them, this game is honestly the weakest in the series. Watch the video and I'll give my opinions why. Greenflower Zone is a fine first zone for this fan game. Definitely runs the player by the basics, giving them plenty of room to get used to the controls and to interact with their surroundings, the enemies are more or less pathetic and can be ignored or stomped with ease. The acts are large enough to provide distractions but short enough to clear in less than a minute. This zone is definitely a springboard that you need to dive into this game.
My suggestion is to work on getting comfortable with the game controls and camera and to check every nook and cranny. Much of the level is accessible by all of the characters and there are plenty of lives and rings around. You shouldn't run the risk of losing a single live on this zone. The boss might prove to be the most challenging thing about it and of course, you know who'll be waiting for you...

I think it's about time I got this off my chest and maybe start some discussion on this matter. Procrastination is easily one of the worst things to impact me and this channel's existence. I want to be rid of it and I feel it's a good idea to start discussing it with you all. I mean, it's not an unknown concept but any means. It's incredibly common, but the way I've been with things, it's just shown to be a terrible, worthless yet compulsive thing for me more and more lately.
Gotta fix it if I want this channel to crawl out of the hole it's in.
