Starting in the village of Gongaga, they carried out Gongaga Region Quest 6: "Woodland Vigil" and took out some fiends in the jungle for Cissnei, including a Gigantoad. Then, they carried out Cosmo Canyon Region Quest 5: "Victim of Circumstance" for Zhijie in the Canyon Basin and took out the Gigaworm, a sandworm that had attacked him. Heorot reached Warrior Level 50. Now, the party will begin the Warrior vocation quest line in Glen. Glen (time 0:27): The party resumes in the church in Glen. On the middle level of town, the party enters the house at C-7. In the northern bedroom, they talk to Agapei, the point of contact for the Warrior vocation quest line. Agapei issues Quest 134: "A Certain Old Man's Ordeal", the first quest. The requirement is to reach Warrior Level 10. The party's next destination is a bonfire in the north of Gerd Strait. The party goes outside and Zooms to the Inn on the Bridge in Gerd Strait. Gerd Strait (time 5:20): The party arrives at the Inn on the Bridge at D-4. They head to the northern cavern. In the northeast, the party examines the bonfire at D-1. This triggers a cutscene flashback involving some Ogre warriors led by the violent Legion. We're seeing the flashback from a certain character's point of view. After the scene, the party must fight three Goodybags (おどるほうせき). My party is overleveled for this quest. We'll see that a lot with these vocation quests. It appears they provide a base of 300 experience points. Another flashback scene takes place after the battle. The party's next objective is to report to Agapei in Glen. When the party regains control, they leave the boss area. Then, they take the northern exit at C-1 to the East Glen Region. East Glen Region (time 10:24): The party Zooms to Glen. Glen (time 10:34): The party enters the house at C-7 and reports to Agapei. Quest 134 complete! The party earns the Warrior's Leggings (戦士のレガース). Heorot equips the Warrior's Leggings. The party talks to Agapei again. Agapei issues Quest 135: "The Road to Bloodshed", the second quest. The requirements are to complete Quest 134 and to reach Warrior Level 15. The party's next destination is a bonfire in the Pele Cave in Beckon Valley. This is not far from the boss room where the party fought Swordmaster Oren. The party goes outside and Zooms to Beckon Valley. Beckon Valley (time 14:20): The party arrives at the crystal at B-5. The pass through the nearby tunnel to the north. They encounter some of the local monsters, which I remember avoiding during the initial visit. The Skelegon (スカルゴン) would have been pretty dangerous at the time. The party goes out the northeast exit at C-1/D-1 to the valley at C-3 on the main map. At C-4 to the south, the go west into the Pele Cave. Within, they examine the bonfire at C-2. This triggers another cutscene flashback with Legion and company. After the scene, it is boss time against two Mysterious Armed Soldiers (謎の武装兵). They are related to the Escudogre family. My party makes short work of them. They appear to provide a base of 800 experience points. Another cutscene flashback takes place after the battle. The party's next destination is Agapei's house in Glen. When the party regains control, they leave the boss area. They go out of the Pele Cave and then Zoom back to Glen. Glen (time 22:43): The party enters the house at C-7 and reports to Agapei. Quest 135 complete! The party earns the Warrior's Helm (戦士のかぶと). The party talks to Agapei again. Agapei issues Quest 136: "Edge of Darkness", the third quest. The requirements are to complete Quest 135 and to reach Warrior Level 20. The party's next destination is a bonfire in the Nagua Cave in Rangao Mountains, the snowy area to the north where the Ogre starting village of Rangao is located. They have not been there yet, so it's time for a little exploring. The party leaves Agapei's house and Zooms to Lion's Gate, which is just north of the East Glen Region. They started by visiting Panino the minstrel in Fake Melsandy Village and undertaking Quest 242: "The Story Begins to Move". They helped save Zankrone from the Haunted Tomato Army, Gretel the Witch's trap in the Mysterious Waterway. Panino revealed to the party that he is a viewpoint character that Panpanini, the author of the Zankrone tales, wrote to represent himself. The Zankrone tales are being continued by Panpanini's granddaughter, Airi. However, after they concluded the quest, Gretel cast a spell on the people of Fake Melsandy to make them hate Zankrone, depriving him of their strength. Afterwards, they carried out Quest 243: "The Witch Cackles Loudly". They helped Panino gather the ingredients for Zankrone Bread, and then they took the bread to Zankrone at the Deserted Shrine in the Fake Melsandy Granaries. As he ate, Zankrone told the party his story. Now, the party will wrap up the substory quest line in Fake Melsandy. Fake Melsandy Village (time 0:31): The party resumes in the church in Fake Melsandy Village. Anlucia installs some Skill Up Panels in her Character Builder. At D-4/E-4, the party talks to Panino. Panino issues Quest 244: "The Hero Saves Everything", the third quest in Melsandy's substory quest line, "The Finale of the Hero and the Witch". Zankrone has not gone after the witch yet, and Panino is worried that Airi is in a slump. However, he has a solution. He gives the Panpanini Notebook (パンパニーニノート) key item to the party and asks them to deliver them to Airi in Real Melsandy. The party Zooms to Real Melsandy Village. Real Melsandy Village (time 7:33): The party enters the Faerie Tale Writer's House at D-2 in the north of town. Upstairs, they talk to Airi in her room. She is uncertain about what ending she should put in the Zankrone story. The party gives her the Panpanini Notebook. It contains Panpanini's setting notes. As she reads them an idea comes to her. The party leaves the room so she can get to work on the ending. The next objective is to report to Panino in Fake Melsandy. The party Zooms to Fake Melsandy Village. Fake Melsandy Village (time 9:36): At D-4/E-4, the party talks to Panino. The story has started again. Zankrone has left to confront the witch at the Midnight Banquet Hall in the Fake Witchwood. However, since the witch has charmed the villagers, Zankrone is not receiving their hopes, so Panino is worried about his chances. Obviously, the party's next objective is to follow him to the Midnight Banquet Hall. The party Zooms to the Fake Rhone Forest - Woods destination. Fake Rhone Forest (time 11:04): At E-3/F-3, the party exits east to the Fake Witchwood (偽りの魔女の森). Fake Witchwood (time 11:28): The party starts at B-7 in the southwest. Since they have yet to visit this convoluted area in Fake Rendashia, they will explore it now. The sign at the entrance is not encouraging: "If you value your life, do not enter the Witchwood. But if you really have to, ... follow the lights." At G-3, a red chest on the lower path contains a Demon Whip (あくまのムチ). This whip has a 4% chance to charm demon-family monsters when attacking. The player earns the accolade "Fake Rendashia Hunter" for opening 150 chests in Fake Rendashia. On a plateau at C-6, a red chest contains 2 Red Eyes (レッドアイ). At B-7/C-7 on the southwestern plateau, a red chest contains a Green Orb (グリーンオーブ). At D-6, a red chest on a plateau contains a Mythic Beast Bone (幻獣のホネ). At C-4, a black chest on the lower path contains a Purple Orb (パープルオーブ). The gate just north of this chest is one that opens. On a plateau at C-3, a red chest contains 3 Softworts (きつけそう). On a plateau in the northeast, a black chest at F-3 contains a Dark Pole (なげきのこん). This weapon has a 2% chance to inflict on-hit confusion when attacking. In the north, the party examines the crystal at E-1/E-2. This adds the Fake Midnight Banquet Hall destination to the Zoom Stone. In the Midnight Banquet Hall's courtyard, a black chest at D-1/E-1 contains 5 Labyrinth Coin Fragments (迷宮コインの破片). In this video, he will do some more Job Point grinding as Red Mage in Escha - Ru'Aun. So far, he has earned a total of 304 Job Points as Red Mage. Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. In his delivery box, he receives gil for a stack of Fire Crystals and a stack of Earth Crystals that sold at auction. Many thanks to the buyers! He also gets back a stack of Lightning Crystals that did not sell. Heorot changes his main job to Level 99 Red Mage with White Mage as support job. He puts an item in his Mog Safe. Afterwards, Heorot heads out to Port Bastok. Port Bastok (time 1:41): Heorot talks to the Greeter Moogle at J-13. He spends 1,000 login points for a new Facility Ring. Heorot teleports to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago. Misareaux Coast (time 3:14): Heorot arrives at Home Point #1 at G-5. Up the hill, he examines the Undulating Confluence at G-5 to enter Escha - Ru'Aun. Escha - Ru'Aun (time 3:54): Heorot arrives at H-11. After summoning his Trust NPCs, he hunts some more Eschan Il'aern in this zone. A disconnect takes place during the hunt. Sorry about that. Heorot accrues 2 Job Points for an overall total of 306 Job Points earned. He has a current total of 2 Job Points. When he has finished for now, he uses the Undulating Confluence at H-11 to return to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago. Misareaux Coast (time 58:53): Heorot arrives at G-5. Just down the hill to the west, he uses Home Point #1 at G-5 to teleport to Port Jeuno. Port Jeuno (time 59:30): Heorot trades his Crests to Shami at H-8 for storage. Then, he teleports to Bastok Markets. Bastok Markets (time 1:01:22): Heorot trades his Copper A.M.A.N. Vouchers to Isakoth at E-11. In Mjoll's Goods, he sells his loot to Olwyn at E-11. Then, Heorot teleports to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 1:03:30): At the auction house, Heorot puts a stack of Lightning Crystals and two Riftborn Boulders up for sale.
