Debuting in March 1995, GAMERA: GUARDIAN OF THE UNIVERSE was the film that was a breath of new life into an genre. It brought forth a new era of talented filmmakers, like Shusuke Kaneko and Shinji Higuchi, and was the start of what many consider to be the best kaiju films ever put to screen; the Gamera trilogy.
