Just to mention one thing first, I didn't get close to that crocodile wading out of the Paga pond, lured out by the whistles of our guide and the chirping sound of the fowl. I had my telephoto lens attached to my camera and stayed clear. Also I have to apologize for the jumping video footage. I dropped my zoom lens the same day I crashed my drone 2 years ago, but I think the jittery, jumps kind of underline how I felt inside. To get to Dulles Airport from downtown Washington, the Metro is an excellent choice. Most of the ride is above ground, which makes it an interesting ride to look out the window. We loved seeing some interesting architecture, we saw the police checking people, and we even got to see a plane landing as we got closer to the airport. It's also a very affordable way to get to Dulles, and with all the interesting sights along the way, the ride doesn't even feel that long. We almost never splurge, but for our 20th anniversary we did and booked three nights on a private resort island: Pangkor Laut, a few hours north of Kuala Lumpur. The check-in process was so smooth. On the mainland, the Pangkor Laut resort had its own terminal where you dropped off your luggage and waited for your boat shuttle to the island. After a short wait, we were on our boat, getting closer and closer to our little paradise island.
