The Crypto Liquidity Flush Is Over, according to Citigroup and JP Morgan. The acute deleveraging phase has now ended.
In two reports released yesterday, both banks said that the contagion spread from bankruptcies is over, and they are seeing reduced stress in the market.
JP Morgan says that May and June were extreme, reminiscent of 2018. But it appears to be behind us.
Crypto markets have bounced back. Ethereum network activity has increased along with an uptick in investor sentiment.
BTC is up 30%; Ether is up 72%.

Yesterday, the TOTAL crypto market painted a buy signal for the first time in 2 months. Most crypto assets are setting new 20-day highs including Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, MATiC and so on. It's not clear what's behind this bear-market rally. But after going down or sideways for two months, the Crypto markets are finally seeing some relief.
In the past week BTC is up 4%. ETHer is up 9%. BNB is up 13%. Cardano is up 27%. And, Solana is up 50%.
Cardano hit a two year low on December 30th, but ADA is up 32% since then.
A relief rally is a welcome reprieve from the battery of negative sentiment that crypto has been experiencing for the past couple of months.

The Fed's raised interest rates to the highest level in 15 years. The Fed raised rates by the expected ½ of 1 percent. However, they advised that interest rates will continue to rise in 2023 by another 75 basis points, which is more hawkish than they were last month.
The markets turned down on the news. The S&P500 closed the day down more than ½ a point, and the Nasdaq was down ¾ of a point.
Powell also said that he does not foresee any interest rate cuts until 2024.

Here is a way of predicting a bear market bottom. Simply, look at the RSI. Let’s look at Bitcoin’s past, every time the bear market bottom was in, the weekly RSI was under 30. December 2011, January 2015, December 2018, and now June and July of 2022. When was the turmoil over? It was over, when we got back above 30.
Now, here is something else that’s really interesting. The last two times that the weekly RSI dropped below 30, it was about 525 days before the next halving event. We are currently 611 days before the next halving event.
So, the weekly RSI would suggest that the bottom is in, and we are right on schedule for the next rally.
