Jan Blachowicz is the Polish mixed martial artist who was rocketed to global fame in 2020 when he won the UFC Light Heavyweight championship, making him the first male Polish champion in the history of the organization.

While he has a devoted fanbase who has loved him from the beginning, Blachowicz managed to win the hearts of thousands more with his recent notoriety, and has only just started to receive the perks that fame affords a title-holder.

Proudly Polish, good-natured, and passionate about his sport, Jan Blachowicz is well on his way to stardom, and he has a growing fortune to prove it.

Jan Blachowicz signed with the UFC in 2014 after a very successful professional career in KSW, a major Polish fight organization. When he signed with the UFC he started at five figures--not a given for most debut fighters--and his first-round knockout win against Ilir Latifi earned him a total of $47,000, which should have set the tone for his rise to the title.

Unfortunately, Blachowicz experienced a mixed bag of defeats over the next few years and struggled to raise his pay above $36,000 per fight. That is, until his 2017 victory against Devin Clark, which put him back on the map, gave him his first fight-night bonus, and netted him his first six-figure purse, at $131,000.

Since then, Blachowicz has made a pretty standard $50,000 to show, $50,000 to win. He has earned a total of six fight-night bonuses at $50,000 each, as well as Reebok sponsorship money and fight week incentive pay. In his native Poland, Blachowicz has other endorsement deals, including a longstanding relationship with fight gear and clothing brand Manto and an endorsement with Visa. He has also appeared on the cover of Men’s Health Polska.

In 2020, Blachowicz made his biggest payout yet: $430,000 in his defeat of Dominick Reyes for the vacant Light Heavyweight title.

For his time in the UFC, Jan Blachowicz’s career earnings sit at $1.6 million. Like many fighters, the full extent of his business dealings and endorsements is difficult to find, so his total net worth is currently unknown, but likely in the low millions.
