People fear that they won't be able to get hired by a big company like Google or Microsoft if they don't possess a prestigious degree. Is is true? Big companies have merely two ways of recruiting people: 1- They use recruiters and get people right from universities. Those are the really big universities, the prestigious one. 2- They get a referral. If you don't fit on the first option, there is definitely other paths you should follow to get hired by a big company. Bottom line is: No... There is a lot of discussions when it comes to if you should pay off your house when it comes to real estate investment. I struggled with it myself when I first began to invest in Real Estate. There is no right or answer to this question. Real Estate can be a really complex thing with a lot of variables and you should be able to come up with the right solution for you, in your specific case. In that situation, you'll need to evaluate if the interest rate of your house will justify you paying off it. For example, if you are able to compensate this investment with other investment and it shows as a lucrative option, then this should be a good idea.
