The Robot experiment may have come to a conclusion. In fact, I didn't realize that I might've reached a dead-end for several episodes. Grace goes to Omerta in hopes of recruiting the rebel leaders, with all the township more or less in our control. And finally, mercs at Drassen wait for their Bobby Ray shipment...and waiting...and waiting. But it's not all too bad, since we wouldn't have to wait for our new addition for too long.
0:05 I get to the bottom of (Jagged Alliance 2 Wiki) for some hard truths regarding the Robot
2:59 Perusing inventory at Balime, with some actual crafting with Lameboy, no similar luck with rubber band
6:54 Spider does a little shopping at Balime, and absolutely huge upgrade for Conrad's armor
13:11 Drassen has stockpiled a lot of ammo, the Truck has to make hard decisions whether to unload some of its guns for them
19:40 Grace sets out herself to Omerta as the enemy patrols on the road
22:28 Static has fixed the prototype grenade launcher; more preparations at Balime
27:01 Grace meets Miguel (a.k.a. rebel leader)
30:16 That freakin' Bobby Ray! The mercs make a bold decision to drop into where it all started
35:19 The Truck can't wait for the road to open, so it will try the alternate route, as Omerta becomes 'hot' again
40:00 The mercs regroup at Grumm too, can we move them out to our next target? The Truck continues its long journey
42:46 Truck arrives at San Mona, ready for more business?
45:13 Dumping the motherlode of weapons, starting mother of a deal

The psionic rookies with a few grizzled veterans raid a supply ship and there appear to be some improvements already. Getting through the first week of June, hopefully there are more opportunities for the expanded crew as we continue to prepare for our ultimate trip.
0:06 Setting the expected level of psionic stats to get the ball rolling against Ethereals
2:16 This base is more or less specialized for one thing, but still pretty much fully fledged.
3:41 What better way to train our rookie psionics than to raid a bigger ship?
6:47 Turn 1, starting the chain of control and a rookie distinguishes herself early
9:02 Smoking their way to the UFO, our controlled assets go ahead and enter the craft, with hover tank overwatch
12:39 Soldiers also scamper their way to the craft, our advanced scouts move farther into the craft
14:46 Now, over extension creates problems with maintaining this chain of mind control

The terror missions that the aliens conduct come in all shapes and sizes. I wonder if they scope out the terrain or area first then send in the ship to unleash chaos upon civilians. The soldiers get their feet wet a bit, then aim for the real deal.
0:06 Pursuing the terror ship to ground battle, Hover tanks scout drop zone
2:31 The Avenger's distance to the UFO may prove to be a difference? And is this really a terror ship?

28:07 Enemy 'charges' us, but draws reaction fire from the ground

The ensuing battle with the Dominators exposes Maloch's weaknesses in his new hull in stark contrast. Escaping with his life barely intact from the encounter compels him to consider more pedestrian pursuits...such as peddling shiny stuff, and perhaps using the profits to fund even more equipment and weapons. And he is not so bloated, and perhaps he could now travel without risking being stranded and have to park by the sun to fuel up anymore?

It's very difficult to summarize my X-Com playing over the last year and a few months, but I just went through the last 97 episodes and gathered some thoughts that popped into my head and made a video. Will there be an X-Com or (X-Com-like) in my gaming future? That, at least, is for certain!

Stonewall Jackson and J.R. Kenly clash at Front Royal, VA in which the southern general won a convincing victory that saw much of the Union forces captured, along with huge sums of provisions. In this alternate version of events, the Union forces know the approach of the Confederates and are more prepared around the town, led by none other than Kenly himself. The Rebels hope to enter Front Royal and cross into the valley where Ashby and his cavalry will scout, but there is a matter of Union reinforcements...
0:07 Let's look at the Objective Report and refresh what we're about to embark
3:22 Appears that the Rebels came ready to Front Royal, we even have good artillery!
6:33 Hastily drawn up plan of attack
7:53 The army starts to march toward Front Royal, can it keep to marching formation?
10:19 Ashby and co. traverse into the valley from the west
11:19 Enemy greet us from Front Royal, we organize in two lines and meet them on field
14:23 Further movement from the Feds, and Kenly clashes into us with much bloodshed, drawing every Rebel attention
17:39 Confederate cavalry pushes ahead into the valley and find it almost too quiet
18:52 Fed artillery continue to tarry about the town boundaries
19:52 It's battle of will of leaders as the Rebels target Kenly, which proves to be very costly
24:05 The Feds finally have their cannons, Rebels brace for barrage
26:42 Taylor charges blindly into Union artillery, leaving his regiment alone in the front...
29:31 And suffers the consequences of having cannon fire directly into his group
32:31 Undeterred, Taylor mounts advance into Front Royal under fire from enemy artillery unit
34:37 The Feds now attempt to regroup on the hill overlooking the town, just in time for their reinforcement!
38:03 The Rebels enter Front Royal, but the enemy artillery still commands heart of the town
42:37 The Confederate artillery move up to support the infantry
44:09 More reinforcement arrives from where we least suspect...our grip on western hill becomes tenuous by turn
47:20 The Fed cavalry rush uphill to drive the Rebel counterparts away!
49:04 The Rebels are spread quite thin and need to regroup, and a lot of decisions will have to be made very soon

I just found out there was a new trailer for Jagged Alliance 3 last week as part of THQ Nordic Showcase...and after seeing it gathered some thoughts and made a video. It's a 2 minute trailer after what seems like almost a year of silence, but they certainly managed to pack a lot of details in it.

The battle continues in and around Front Royal, but the victory will be decided in keeping Richardson's Hill that secures Jackson's path toward Winchester and overlooks the surrounding regions. A very heavily armed Union cavalry unit is poised to strike and sweep up the ragged Rebels just arriving at the hill. The army is spread quite thin, spread from north to the south while the Union soldiers recover and bide for one last push to drive us out. Will we be able to hold against them, and secure the hard fought positions? And will we be able to visit Happy Creek?
0:05 Let's have a look and plan a bit, will concentrate around getting (and keeping) the victory points
2:15 The 200-strong Union cavalry with some fancy gun leads the rest of the Union's horseback skirmishes
6:34 The Rebel cannons aim at their counterparts overlooking Front Royal, and help clear it out
9:37 Some Union regiments are broken and flee but their cavalry is another story with Ashby targeted
12:13 Situation is such that one Confederate artillery unit is sent to help in the north
14:07 Union cavalry recovers and turns around, will we have to make adjustments?
17:08 The elite Union cavalry unit starts toward us! But with a new leader?
19:53 Stalemate on the outskirts of Front Royal, and the cavalry rush is on!
22:51 Alright, send one more infantry regiment up north and tie the recovered Union infantry to the hillside with canister shots
24:57 The Rebels attempt to contain the rampaging Union cavalry, with no success
27:22 A rout! A Rebel unit is driven from the battlefield!
30:07 No amount of silver tongue will convince the tired and hungry soldiers to raise arms, much less stay in line
32:12 Another unit sent packing, and as if on signal, the Union infantry rushes down hill toward Front Royal!
35:35 The Rebels push back with everything they got, the fires ring out until the very end
